About Our School

It is the mission of Dilworth Elementary to provide a rich and challenging academic environment where students gain a love of learning, receive individualized instruction and experience curriculum through arts education.

The faculty, staff and community of Dilworth Elementary strive to create a school environment where students feel safe and are excited to learn.  Faculty members work collaboratively in grade level teams and with district coaches, maximize professional development opportunities and establish strong relationships of trust with students and parents.  Teachers focus on the individual needs of each student by using student achievement data to drive instruction, implementing Tier 2 instruction in their classrooms, and by working closely with teachers in Tier 3 instructional programs (SpEd and ELD).  Community members and parents contribute time, expertise and money to support reading and technology initiatives and other enriching activities for students.  The Dilworth PTA is highly engaged in expanding resources for the Beverly Taylor Sorenson program and to support music education.
