Dear Dilworth Parents & Guardians,

It is with bittersweet feelings that I write to inform you that I have accepted an offer to become the principal of Clayton Middle School.  My three years at Dilworth have been an absolute delight.  The teachers here are some of the most dedicated professionals that I have worked with in my career in education.  A great part of what makes Dilworth so amazing is you; the caring and engaged parents of our school community.

Over the last two days, I have spoken with the superintendent, Dr. Cunningham, about Dilworth and have expressed my strong belief that this community should play a major role in the appointment of the new principal.  She agreed and expressed appreciation for the level of parental engagement that Dilworth enjoys. Landon Clark, the School Community Council chair, and Rachelle Park, School Improvement Chair, have already begun the conversation with the Dr. Cunningham and district leadership so that the hiring process can begin immediately.  Please feel free to contact Landon (, Rachelle Park (, or me with any questions or concerns you might have about the process or the pending transition.

In the meantime, I will remain engaged at Dilworth until the new principal is appointed.  Landon Clark and I will send updates to you as the process moves along, which we hope will move quickly.

I regret that I was not able to say goodbye to the 635 Dilworth students whom I love and care for so much.  Each one of them gives me hope for the future and I wish them all the very best.  Please tell them that I will miss them and care deeply for them.

Thank you again for letting me be a part of this wonderful school community.  It has been a great honor and privilege.
