The Salt Lake City School District Board of Education discussed board norms, which are the expectations for how board members work with fellow board members, the superintendent, and district staff as they carry out their responsibilities. The Board Policy Subcommittee also gave an update on their review of the board norms. (Watch on YouTube)
Information about high school graduation diploma options. The board is considering requiring more credits to graduate and/or possibly creating a “diploma of distinction” that could also require a minimum GPA. They also discussed gathering feedback from students and families and asked the district to move forward with gathering this input. (Watch on YouTube)
A small property swap with Salt Lake County near the Beardsley site (where Auxiliary Services offices are located). This would fix a property line issue, improve drainage by the Jordan River, and make access easier. This item was moved to the action agenda. (Watch on YouTube)
